NYOMA, Nov 5:- SDM Nyoma Kacho Asgar Ali Khan today distributed 16 high-altitude nomadic tents to beneficiaries in sub division Nyoma.
The tents were distributed in the presence of the Branch Manager, SBI Nyoma.
These specially designed tents are resistant to extreme temperatures and aim to provide durable shelter and improved living conditions for the nomadic Changpa families residing in the high-altitude areas of Changthang.
This initiative follows the cheque of Rs 50 lakh donated by State Bank of india Foundation’s CSR initiative, which was handed over to SDM Nyoma during the visit of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to Changthang Rongo village on 16th June 2025, for constructing high-altitude nomadic tents for the Changpa community.
