JAMMU, Apr 8: To felicitate several officers who retired recently, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organization organized an impressive function, here today.
Those, who were felicitated in the function, included R L Bharti (IFS), Lal Chand (IFS), G R Bhagat (IAS), Dr Jagdish Thappa (Psychiatrist) , Soba Ram (Joint Director), Tara Chand Bavoria (Dy Secy) and Rani Lachotra (CEO).
The retirees were presented mementos by State president of the Confederation R K Kalsotra along with Sher Singh (Dy Director General GOI), Asger Ali, Mohd Qasim, Naresh Langeh (Chief Engineer) Rakesh Bhagat(KAS) B L Bhardwaj (XEn) Darshan Lal (CEO) and Harbans Lal.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Kalsotra appreciated the services of the retirees and asked them to start second stint of life by devoting their time and energy to awaken the weaken masses about their rights and guide them.
Sher Singh also advised the audience to understand and follow the principles of Baba Saheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
The retirees thanked the Confederation for honouring them they pledged to cooperate for the betterment of weaker sections.
A colourfull song and music presentation on the occasion was given by Darmesh Nargotra, Bishan Dass, Krishna Kumari and Shanu artists.
