JAMMU, Aug 27: Vice Chairperson, J&K State Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Schedule Castes, Bushan Lal Dogra convened a meeting of officers of social welfare and SC/ST/OBC Development Corporation here today.
Managing Director of SC/ST/OBC Development Corporation, Yash Pual Suman and Deputy Director Social Welfare Department, Narinder Kour held detailed discussion on various schemes being implemented by SC/ST/OBC Corporation and the Social Welfare Department for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society, particularly scheduled castes.
Besides, the deputations, various organizations also met with the VC J&K State Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Schedule Castes including All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch, Drama Artist Association, All J&K Gardi Maha Sabha, Mahasha Community, Guru Ravi Dass Sabha etc
The Vice Chairperson after listening to the suggestions and grievances of the public assured them that the J&K State Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Scheduled Castes will make all efforts to redress the problems of the common masses.
Later, Vice Chairperson called a meeting of the CAPD Department and discussed the ration supply position of district Jammu.
The Vice Chairperson directed the officials of CAPD to ensure the smooth and timely supply of ration to the weaker sections of the society on priority basis.
