NOWSHERA, Oct 22: A scrap shop, dealing in old and damaged material was completely gutted in a massive fire that broke out in the heart of Nowshera town market causing panic among the locals.
Eyewitnesses said that flames suddenly erupted from the shop, and rapidly engulfing the entire structure, and sending thick clouds of smoke into the sky. The blaze created chaos in the busy market as traders and residents rushed to safety.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel immediately launched a large-scale operation, which continued for several hours. Officials stated that the fire tenders had to be refilled at least eight times before the flames were fully extinguished.
While the shop suffered extensive damage, thankfully, no casualties or injuries were reported. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
The administration has assured that all necessary steps are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future and to ensure safety in the market.
