JAMMU, Apr 10: In protest against Government’ ban on any sort of mining from anywhere, the Stone Crusher Owners’ Association (SCOA) today decided not to sell their crushed products to anyone.
The decision was taken unanimously during a meeting of the general body of the association which met here today under the chairmanship of its president Vikram Randhawa.
The meet was attended by more than hundred unit holders from across the State in which a threadbare discussion was held regarding the imposition of SRO-105 which was issued on March 31 during Governor’s Rule, imposing blanket ban on any sort of mining from anywhere resulting which this vital industry has come to a standstill.
After prolonged discussion all the members of the association strongly condemned the negative attitude of the Government and extended full support to the decision of its president Vikram Randhawa of not selling any product to anyone.
The SCOA said that they will closely monitor that their decision is implemented in full spirit by the members of the association. The supplies to the Government departments were stopped with immediate effect to build pressure for the revocation of the anti industrial SRO.
The association further appealed all its members to abide by the decision and not to succumb to the pressure building tactics of the Government which it has termed as having anti industrial policies forcing millions to go jobless in a trouble torn State.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were Sonam Deep Singh, Arshad Malik, Anil Gaind, KK Bakhri, Raju Parray, Muzaffar Jan, Rafiq Ahmed, Shamsher Choudhary and Bharat Singh.
