Srinagar, Mar 30: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Monday issued an order revising the schedule of school timings for all government and recognized private institutions across the Valley, with the new system set to take effect from April 1.
According to an official order, schools located within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now function from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. In contrast, educational institutions situated outside the municipal limits of the summer capital and in other districts of the Kashmir division will observe a schedule of 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The order, bearing number 119-DSEK of 2026, directed all concerned authorities and school heads to ensure strict adherence to the revised timings. Officials stated that no deviations from the stipulated schedule would be permitted.
The revision comes ahead of the new academic session and aims to streamline the functioning of schools across the region.
