SCERT hosts 2-day seminar on challenges in implementation of NCF

JAMMU, Dec 13: SCERT J&K Divisional Office Jammu hosted a two day seminar on ‘Challenges in the implementation of National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) & National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE)’.
The seminar which was organized under the mentorship of Prof Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director SCERT J&K, brought together school administrators, educators and policymakers to discuss the importance of creating a positive school culture and ecosystem that supports the comprehensive development of students.
The seminar was inaugurated by Subah Mehta , Joint Director, Directorate of School Education, Jammu in the presence of Prof Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT J&K, Divisional Office Jammu and Dr J N Baliya, Professor, Central University of Jammu and senior faculty of SCERT Divisional Office Jammu including Swaran Singh Jaral, Tahira Parveen, Shailesh Kumari and Dr Sanjeevani.
While addressing the gathering, Subah Mehta exhorted the school administrators to keep pace with new policies and guidelines as outlined by the NCFs and facilitate the shift from school efficiency to school improvement.
On this occasion, Prof Sindhu Kapoor highlighted NCFs as a catalyst for reimagining education and urged the participants to explore and discuss effective strategies for implementing the NCFs and improve educational standards in schools.
The seminar featured keynote address by Dr J N Baliya, Professor, Central University of Jammu followed by panel discussions by renowned experts in the field of education.
The team of panelists included Dr J N Baliya, Dr Rakesh Bharti, Assistant Professor, GCOE Jammu; Dr. Neeraj Jandial, Associate Professor, SCERT Jammu; Manu Vasudeva, Parshotam Singh, Amit Sharma, Yogesh Kumar, Dr Jyoti Sudan, Dr Sandarve Gupta, Paawan Vivek, Bindia Balwal, Rakesh Chobber, Academic Officers SCERT Jammu .
Deepak Kumar, Academic Officer, was the Coordinator of the programme. He was assisted by Dr Jyoti Sudan, Academic Officer. The seminar was managed by committee members namely Seema Matoo Koul, Roopse Kapoor, Abha Verma, Dr Sandarve Gupta, Kavya Sharma, Amit Bhagat, Amit Sharma, Parshotam Singh, Yugal Kishore, Manisha Chun, and Rukhsana Gulbadan.
The two day seminar culminated with feedback by the participants and vote of thanks by Swaran Singh Jaral, Head, Academic Unit-II.
