SCC beats ACC by 4 wkts, enters semi-finals round

Happy Memorial Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, July 6: Singh Cricket Club (SCC) defeated Akhnoor Cricket Club (ACC) by four wickets and entered into semi-finals round of First Happy Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Ravi Verma and Aryan Gupta under overall supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh (General Secretary District Jammu JKCA).
Earlier, SCC won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, the ACC scored 129 by losing eight wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Deepak Sharma made highest 46 runs, whereas Dinesh Mahajan and Vinay Singh contributed 25 runs each to the total. From bowling side, SS Langeh, Sunil Pandit and Binny shared two wickets each, while Robin and Sunil got one wicket each.
While chasing the set target the SCC managed to score 130 runs by losing only six wickets in 18.4 overs wherein Abhi Verma made 30 runs, while Sunil Bendy scored 20 runs and Robbin Verma contributed 21 runs. From bowling side, Dinesh secured three wickets while Nishant got two wickets and Munish bagged one wicket.
Robbin Verma was declared as man of the match for his splendid performance with bat and bowl. Vikas Bali and Stiphen were umpires of the match, whereas Vasu and Manav Mehta acted as scorers.
