JAMMU, Apr 11: To discuss various issues pertaining to reserve class category people, a delegation comprising the members of SC, ST and OBC categories, met with Minister of Health and Medical Education, Sakina Itoo and Minister of Jal Shakti, Forest and Environment, Javed Ahmed Rana, here today.
The delegation was led by former Minister Babu Ram Pal.
During the meeting, members raised their issues including reservation in promotion, enhancing SC reservation from 8% to 12%, maintaining roaster in promotion as directed by Supreme Court, implementation of Mandal Commission report for OBCs and many other issues were discussed.
After patient hearing from the members of delegation, both the Ministers agreed to putforth the problem being faced by the community within few days after discussing with Government.
Among others who were part of the delegation included Chaman Lal, Sagar Chand, Rajinder Chanyal, Narinder Datt, Thoru Ram, Bua Ditta, B D Dalmotra, Dr Gourab Bharat, Kali Dass, Nirmal Singh, Naseeb Chand and Amarnath Bhagat.
