Jammu, Nov 15: District Office, Jammu of J&K SC, ST & BC Dev. Corporation organized an “Awareness Camp” in a remote area of village Kupper Pargalta, Nagrota today in order to make its target group i.e., Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Safai-Karamcharis, Minorities and Handicapped people aware about the schemes being run by the Corporation in collaboration with six National Level Corporations.
The main focus of this Awareness camp was to make its target group people aware about the activities of the Corporation so that these could reach to them at grass root level and to ensure that even the last member of the target group may not remain bereft of those employment avenues meant for them.
The camp was attended by a large number of men and women who showed keen interest in seeking loan from the Corporation for starting innovative activities besides the schemes already being run by the Corporation.
Officers of the Corporation who briefed the gathering included Joginder Paul, District Manager, Jammu, Anu Gupta, Administrative Officer, Rupali Langer, Supervisor Technical and Anil Harker.
Besides them, a number of participants included Mani Ram, member of village Judiciary, Joginder Kumar and Ram Lal Thapa, social workers, Baldev Singh Manhas, Chairman Dogri Sahitya Sabha Pargalta, Raj Gopal,Principal Chetan Academy and Sh. Sansaar Chand, Stage Secretary, Dogri Sahitya Sabha.
