SC Advocate Neeta’s new book on Indian Law released by Bar Council Chairman

JAMMU, Apr 20: Supreme Court Advocate Neeta Verma’s latest book, “Bharatvarsh ka Etihasik Aur Vartaman Kanoon” (Historical and Contemporary Laws of India), was formally released in Delhi by Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament (MP), Manan Kumar Mishra, who also serves as the Chairman of the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Speaking at the release event held at the Bar Council of India premises, Mishra praised the book as “a beautiful and socially conscious piece of work,” noting its emphasis on laws impacting every section of society, with special attention to fundamental rights and constitutional values. He particularly highlighted the book’s in-depth coverage of Article 370, human rights in Jammu & Kashmir, and the broader themes of social cooperation and legal administration in the region.
Advocate Neeta Verma, a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, has previously been honored by former Chief Justice of India, K G Balakrishnan, for her contributions to legal awareness and social upliftment. Her new book is seen as a continuation of her commitment to making legal knowledge accessible and relevant to the public.
Recently, Verma was also honoured by the Chief Justice of India, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, for her contribution to the legal field through this publication.
The event was attended by several senior legal luminaries and marked a significant addition to contemporary legal literature in India.
