SBOP organizes customer meet

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Dec 10: State Bank of Patiala (SBOP) organised a customer meet here today. The meet was presided over by Managing Director of the Bank, Achal Kumar Gupta. The meet was attended by many renowned business personalities and dignitaries of the city. The occasion was also graced by K Rajendra, ADGP, Jammu and Kashmir Police. Addressing the customers, MD, SBOP, said that the purpose of the meet was to get feedback from them (customers), know their requirements, get acquainted with the local ground realities and to answer their queries. Replying to a query of a customer whether SBOP is sensitive towards lowering interest rates, Gupta stated, “We are sensitive on rationalizing interest rates. At the same time Bank has to make profit. So we are maintaining a balance between Bank’s profitability and customers’ needs”. The Bank will be expanding its branch network in the State in near future and is rationalizing interest rates across all the segments to be competitive, so that we can increase our customer base, he added. Among other noted dignitaries present on the occasion included YV Sharma, president, Chamber of Commerce, Jammu.
