JAMMU, May 16: A valedictory function of the women’s tailor training program organized by the SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI) Jammu in collaboration with Mission Shakti was held here today.
During the 31 days programme, training of cutting and tailoring of women’s garments was provided to 16 Jail inmates of District Jail Amphalla, Jammu.
In this regard a function was organized, during which certificates of participation were distributed to the successful trainees by Shivali Sharma, Legal Assistant remembrance Officer, Jammu, Superintendent Dharmender Katoch, Shagun Manchanda, District Coordinator, Mission Shakti, Kavita Mahajan Sr Pharmacist District Jail, Sheetal and Nirmal Sharma from SBI RSETI Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Shivali Sharma interacted with the candidates and congratulated them for choosing ‘tailoring and cutting of women’s garments’ as skill training which can help them to divert their minds from void to be skillful women and to transform their financial condition by earning livelihoods after getting free from imprisonment.
She wished all the candidates good luck in their future endeavors and also appreciated the sample clothes stitched by the trainees during the training.
Superintendent, Dharmender Katoch and Shagun Manchanda, district coordinator, Mission Shakti, also interacted with the candidates and appreciated their dedication towards their learning enthusiasm which they showed in the training program.
They thanked SBI RSETI Jammu for arranging this training program in the Jail premises.
SBI RSETI Jammu has already assured full possible help to the candidates to start their own ventures and guided them to take full advantage of the training acquired from RSETI.
