JAMMU, Dec 5: Chief General Manager (CGM) of State Bank of India (SBI) Chandigarh Circle, Krishan Sharma here today visited Octroi Post at Suchetgarh Border.
He was accompanied by Vimal Kishore, General Manager, Network-III and officers from Jammu Administrative Office.
DIG BSF, Chetar Pal Singh and CO Zafar warmly welcomed the CGM who distributed claims worth Rs. 1.10 crore to the kins of deceased Salary Package Account Holders of the Bank under inbuilt insurance in the Salary/Pension Accounts of SBI.
The beneficiaries included Geeta Rani, Rs 50 lakh; Suriner Kour, Rs 30 lakh and Anita Devi, Rs 30 lakh.
Sharma told reporters about the benefits of the Salary Package accounts and appealed public at large to avail the benefits provided by the Bank.
He assured that SBI has always been and will always stand by its customers at the time of need.
After this a discussion was held with BSF officers, wherein teams of SBI and BSF discussed about various banking products and feedback on Bank’s products was sought from BSF officials for betterment and customers’ need.
Sharma and Kishore also planted trees at the BSF Post.
