JAMMU, Feb 5: A function was organized at Town Hall to distribute uniforms to SKCs of Jammu West Assembly Constituency. On the occasion MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) was chief guest. In his welcome address Commissioner, JMC Kiran Wattal informed that it was long pending demand of SKCs to provide winter uniform to them. He also lauded the role of SKCs and assured to redress all the genuine issues of SKCs related to their welfare and reiterated that it is the prime responsibility of the Corporation to keep Jammu neat and clean.
In his address MLA Sat Sharma also lauded the role of SKCs and assured that he will raise issues related to SKCs before the concerned authorities vigorously. On the occasion 430 uniforms were distributed to the SKCs.
During the occasion Sat Sharma appreciated the role of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for taking keen interest to boost the Safaikaramcharis and also appeals to all the locals to keep their surroundings neat and clean to make the city green and hygienic.
Among others, Naresh Kumar (KAS), Secretary, JMC, Asst. Commissioner (Rev), Executive Engineers, Health Officer, Special Asstt. to Commissioner, Municipal Veterinary Officer, Chief Transport Officer, Sanitation Officers, Asstt. Executive Engineers and other field staff of Corporation were also present.
