JAMMU, May 11: In order to review the working of Government Hospital Sarwal, BJP MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) visited the hospital and took a detailed round. He also interacted with the patients and their attendants and gave a patient hearing to their problems.
During his visit to the hospital, it was also pointed out that lift of Government Hospital Sarwal is not functioning for the last so many years. When the MLA sought detailed report from Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr ADS Manhas, he pointed out that lift has been installed by KONE Electricals Company and this lift remained functional for seven months only and now company is demanding Rs 75,000 for repairs of lift and Rupees 1,44,000 for AMC Contract.
The MLA issued directions to Medical Superintendent to put up this matter in agenda of Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting which is going to be held shortly and will be chaired by MLA Sat Sharma (CA).
He also issued directions for repairs, White Washing of old OPD Block of the Hospital through PWD division of Government Medical College. He instructed the authorities to make the Gynae Ward fully functional. He also instructed to make a proposal for making the Blood Bank functional at the earliest at Government Hospital Sarwal.
He also stressed upon staff to remain punctual in their duties and help in mitigating problems and sufferings of old and poor patients. The MLA complimented Medical Superintendent for good working environment in the Hospital.
BJP treasurer Pramodh Kapahi, BJP Mandal President Praduman Singh, Ex Corporators Balwan Singh & Dinesh Gupta, Sanjay Sawhney, Onkar Singh Bose, Amrik Singh, S. Yash Pal Singh, Ankush and others also accompanied the MLA during his visit.
