JAMMU, Jan 15: Jammu & Kashmir BJP President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma CA, along with MLA Jammu North, Sham Lal Sharma, today visited and inspected a pond at Ward 59, Paloura, to review the ongoing and proposed development works aimed at restoring and beautifying the area for public use.
Praduman Singh, Raveesh Mengi, Pankaj Padha, Sahil Gupta, Ashok Singh Manhas, Sunita Gupta, Subash Sharma, Uttam Singh, Ashok Singh Chib, Sanjay Bhat, Sankat Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Pranab Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Satish Kumar, and Janak Singh were also present.
Addressing on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the development of this pond was undertaken on the request of prominent locals, reflecting the Government’s commitment to participatory development and public welfare. He said that the pond had earlier been encroached upon, but with timely action by the Jammu Development Authority (JDA), the encroachment was cleared, paving the way for planned development. He added that the area will now be developed with proper beautification, landscaping, and creation of a ground and open space for local residents, especially children and youth. Such initiatives, he said, not only preserve ecology but also enhance the quality of life in urban areas.
Sat Sharma further emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the focus remains on sustainable development, and creation of community-friendly infrastructure. He assured the residents that BJP representatives will continue to monitor the project to ensure quality work and timely completion.
Sham Lal Sharma said that clearing encroachments from public land and restoring community assets is a priority for the BJP-led efforts in Jammu. He said that the development of the pond area will serve multiple purposes, environmental balance, and providing a recreational space for locals. He assured that all necessary support will be extended to complete the beautification and ground development work in a transparent and efficient manner, keeping public interest at the forefront. He appreciated the cooperation of local residents and officials and reaffirmed commitment to inclusive and sustainable development in the area.
