JAMMU, Aug 13: Sat Sharma (CA), president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)J&K , released an emotional poem titled “Tiranga” composed by senior party leader, former Vice Chairman, and poet, Balbir Ram Rattan.
On this occasion, party vice president, Priya Sethi, general secretaries, Sanjita Dogra and Gopal Mahajan, MLA R.S. Pathania, DDC member, Suresh Sharma, media in-charge, Dr. Pradeep Mohtra, and Media Cell member, Sanjay Bakshi were present.
After the release, Sat Sharma appreciated the poem, stating that “Tiranga” is not just a poem but a symbol of India’s soul and culture. He described Balbir Ram Rattan’s composition as emotional and inspiring, noting that the poem beautifully and simply conveys the significance of the three colours of the National Flag. The Saffron colour is depicted as a symbol of courage and sacrifice, white reflects peace, compassion, and truth, while green is associated with India’s prosperity, nature, and the lives of farmers. The Ashoka Chakra is portrayed as a symbol of time, justice, and Karma, representing the foundation of the Indian Constitution and national values.
He further said that the poem not only evokes patriotism but also enlightens citizens about the significance of the National Flag. Some lines of the poem are so impactful that they echo in the hearts of readers and remind them of their duties toward their nation.
Later, all attendees stood in respect of the National Flag and recited the final lines of the poem in unison—
“Tiranga Rahe Amar Hamara,
Yahi Hai Vrat Hamara.”
(May our Tiranga remain immortal,
This is our solemn vow.)
On this occasion, Balbir Ram Rattan pledged to spread the message of his poem among the masses so that every Indian can understand and feel the importance of the Tiranga.
