Sat Sharma interacts with Canal Road Morning Walkers

JAMMU, Nov 27: On the invitation of Canal Road Morning Walkers Welfare Association(CRMWWA), State vice president BJP and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) today visited canal road to have an interaction with morning walkers and listened their problems  and pending demands pertaining to development of the very popular walkway at Canal Road.
Sharma met all the walkers and listened to their suggestions in order to bring beautification of the walkway.
Sat Sharma said that necessary things required for the beautification of the walkway will be done in order to provide best services possible to the morning walkers.
He said walkers have pointed out the requirement for an Open Gym in the Park on the banks of the Canal which will include the Face Lifting of the same and other necessities including separate toilets for Ladies and gents, drinking water facility, benches for visitors and rain sheds will also be installed for its up gradation.
He stated that JMC officials have calculated the estimate for the works as well and the same will be done at an estimated cost of around Rs 9 lakhs for which the funds will be available soon.
He also stated that the walkway is very popular and hundreds of walkers from adjoining areas of Canal Road also visit the spot including men, women and children and such type places in other areas of Jammu West will also be developed as these places have become a lifeline for maintenance of health and also a meeting place for social interaction, sharing ideas, thoughts and laughs amongst fellow walkers and friends which is necessary in daily life in order to keep a person’s mind, body and soul fit.
Executive Engineer, JMC Parvodh Sharma, President CRMWWA Prof. MS Nargal, Vice President Lajya Manhas, general secretary. VK Sharma, Hoshnak Singh, Ganesh Sharma and scores of morning walkers accompanied the MLA during his visit.
