BJP rules out change in UT leadership

JAMMU, Apr 10: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, Nitin Nabin organised a meeting of State presidents, general secretaries and State in charges of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Varg (Training Programme) at party Headquarters New Delhi today to take feedback from State leadership on the month long programmes launched on April 5 -the Foundation Day of the party.

The meeting from J&K was attended by party president of the UT, Sat Sharma (CA), organisational general secretary, Ashok Koul, party vice president, Priya Sethi and in charge Prashikshan Varg J&K Parnesh Mahajan. The meeting was chaired by Nitin Nabin and it was attended by national general secretary (Org), B L Santosh, party general secretary, Tarun Chugh and other senior party leaders.
BJP UT president, Sat Sharma said that meeting was overdue but delayed due to the elections in four states and one UT as party leadership was preoccupied with campaigning.
He said, while giving feedback of Prashikshan Vargs to national leadership, the UT leaders informed them that out of 258 training camps in J&K 216 such camps were held while 42 are yet to be organised. This will be followed by holding of training camps at district, Morcha and UT levels, he added.
He said national leadership showed satisfaction over the performance in J&K and urged the party leadership to take the policy programmes of Modi Government to every nook and corner of the UT. Nitin Nabin also urged the party leaders to ensure 90 percent participation of party activists in remaining training programmes besides selecting 11 speakers at UT level who will deliver speeches on various topics like how to strengthen organisation, BJP as an organisation and its role, Artificial Intelligence, BJP’s Constitution etc.
The meeting brought together the State presidents, organisational general secretaries and in charges of Prasikshan Vargs all over the country.
Sources said the meeting is also focused on preparing a structured plan to organise outreach initiatives across States to build awareness and support for the implementation of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act also.
Sources said through the Deendayal Upadhyay Prasikshan Varg 2026 a national programme of the BJP, it is going to make its activists ideologically strong, disciplined and also equip them with modern technology of digital learning. Through this programme, BJP will impart training to its activists on Mandal level about philosophy of Upadayay on integral humanism, serving the last man in the queue, organisational structure and apprising them about the schemes of Central and State Governments.
This programme will impart training about the modern techniques and digital learning also to its activists, sources said.
Meanwhile, party sources ruled out any change in the party structure in the UT of J&K. While terming these only rumours a party spokesperson said that in BJP election of office bearers and State president is made through democratic procedure for a term of three years. The present president will complete his term up to 2029 and there will be no change in it. The speculations made in this regard by some vested interests are noting except rumours.
Sources said that the party MLAs and office bearers meeting to be held on April 12 here proceeding UT Executive meeting will also be attended by party national general secretary and in charge J&K Tarun Chugh. The UT leadership had also extended invitation to national president to attend the meeting but due to his busy schedule he is unable to attend the same.
Sources said the election of National Executive and office bearers will be held next month at New Delhi and one or two leaders from J&K are likely are to be inducted in Central team.
