Sat kick starts pending work of Guru Ravi Dass Community Hall

JAMMU, Sept 16: Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) along with Corporator, Neelam Nargotra started the pending works of Community Hall which is being constructed at Guru Ravi Dass Sabha in Ward 40 of Jammu West Assembly segment.
Sharma was accompanied by Corporators, Sanjay Baru and Jeet Angral, Mandal president, Keshav Chopra, Sabha Pradhan, Puran Chand Attri and several others including local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh and the funds were allotted to the Corporator under the Capex budget.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that this place holds a great significance in the society and it is our prime duty to develop such places which hold a great religious importance. He said Guru Ravi Dass dedicated his whole life for serving the society and “We all must follow his teachings which allow us to create an atmosphere of brotherhood and harmony’’.
He stated that during his tenure as MLA, many community halls were built across the Constituency which catered to the needs of thousands of inhabitants. He also stated that Jammu West has progressed a lot towards development and in the last six years, the infrastructural development pertaining to roads, setting up of transformers, replacing of old pipes with fresh ones, construction of halls, up gradation of cremation grounds and other works are kept on priority in all 26 wards of the constituency.
Neelam Nargotra said that this was the much awaited work which has been taken up and it also showered happiness amongst the followers of Guru Ravi Dass. She said pending works in the ward will be taken up in coming times and wherever required help of former MLA will also be taken to solve remaining problems in the Ward.
Sanjay Baru and Jeet Angral said that Former MLA has been on ground even after nearly three years of the dissolution of the Assembly and he reached out to masses in every ward and solves their grievances from time to time.
