SRINAGAR , June 23: A delegation  of Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust led by its  president Mahant Rohit Shastri met to Speaker of State Assembly Kavinder Gupta and BJP state president  and MLA Sat Sharma  here today and presented a memorandum to them.
Mahant Rohit Shastri put forwards issues and problems associated with Sanskrit language in the State and demanded due share be given to Sanskrit scholars in employment.
Moreover the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University) Kot Bhalwal is an registered university and affiliated with UGC, Ministry of Human Resources Development Government of India. This University also got ‘A’   grade  by NAAC. The Chairperson of the University is Smitri Zubin Irani, Minister HRD Govt. of India. It has been observed that students seeking degrees under this university are facing problems whenever they apply for jobs or request to State Government to be a permanent teacher after completion of their probation period. However, nowadays the Education Department of State Government rebuffs the same saying that this is only an study centre not a  proper /affiliated university.
The speaker Kavinder Gupta assured the delegation the quick action will be taken on the issue by issuing direction to the Education Department to look into the matter.  BJP State president MLA Sat Sharma and MLA Kathua Rajveev Jasrotia assured Rohit Shastri that the issue will be raised in Assembly .Mahant Rohit Shastri in his memorandum to Prime Minister of India, Governor of State, Chief Minister  & Dy Chief Minister, HRD Minister of India, Education Minister of  the State and MoS Education has sought their intervention in the matter.
Rohit Shastri also appealed people to make Sanskrit language as a daily means of communication and to opt Sanskrit language in their studies so that the coming generation will know the good things present in our ancient books like Vedas, Upanishads etc.
