‘Sanskrit Month’ by SKJAVST inaugurated

JAMMU, July 12: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust (SKJAVST) here today inaugurated ‘Sanskrit Month’ at Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple, Yatri Bhawan.
The event was marked by the distribution of 5,000 saplings in collaboration with Social Forestry Department, Jammu.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range was chief guest on this occasion while Sunaina Mehta, Principal, Revenue Training Institute, Jammu, was guest of honour and Brijesh Sharma, SP (Rural), Jammu was distinguished guest.
Presiding over the function, Mahant Rohit Shastri, Trust president said that Sanskrit is not only a language but is the soul of Indian culture and its preservation and promotion is our duty.
“During the Sanskrit Month, from July 12 to August 10, 2025, various literary and cultural events like Sanskrit procession, de-addiction rally, cybercrime awareness camp, Sanskrit recitation, student dialogues, tree plantation and more will be organized,” he maintained.
DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma said beginning of the Sanskrit Month with a noble act of tree plantation is highly commendable.
“Such events spread the message of morality, discipline and harmony, which are need of the hour,” he further said.
The guest of honour, Sunaina Mehta, remarked that both Sanskrit and nature are pillars of Indian tradition, and preserving both together is a pressing need.
SP (Rural) Brijesh Sharma said that Sanskrit is the simplest language with most of its words used in our daily life.
