Bhagwat chairs 3-day RSS Pracharks meet at Delhi

JAMMU, July 4: The three-days Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh meeting which began at New Delhi today among other issues will discuss prevailing political situation in the country in aftermath of Operation Sindoor and also chalk out the year long programme for the celebration of 100th centenary of Sangh which will start on its Foundation Day on Vijay Dashmi falling on October 2 this year.

The three-day meet which will be attended by all Prant Pracharks across country will be chaired by RSS chief (Sarsangchalak), Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat and it will be attended by second in chief in hierarchy Hoshbholey. Besides, the Seh Sarkarivahs of Sangh and other senior leaders will also attend the three days meet.
Sources said as a prelude to centenary celebrations three days lecture series will be held by RSS Sarsangchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi on August 26, 27 and 28. Besides Delhi, lecture series will be held at Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata. In his lecture series at Delhi, Dr Bhagwat will speak at length on a wide range of issues, highlighting the RSS viewpoint on subjects of national and social importance.
Sources said during three days meet at Delhi, which will be attended by over 300 Pracharks of Sangh and its offshoots. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary (Org), B L Santosh will also be present.
Political situation in the country in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor will also figure. The April 22 terrorist attack and killing of 25 tourists and one local at Pahalgam in South Kashmir district of Anantnag will also be part of the discussions, sources said.
They said while the Sangh has endorsed the tough stand taken by the Modi Government in curbing Pak sponsored terrorism in J&K and gave befitting reply to enemy nation by launching the Operation Sindoor which will send a loud and clear signal across globe that India will never tolerate reprehensible measures by any hostile country and the nation stands united in defeating such designs.
Sources said the meeting will also review the security measures taken by the Government for Shri Amarnath Ji pilgrims after the terrorist strike in Pahalgam. Besides, the organisational matters of BJP including the overdue election of party’s national president will be taken up during the meeting.
Sources said the meeting while discussing the functioning of all RSS offshoots will stress on unity in the society which the Sangh considers is of paramount importance for the prosperity and progress of the nation.
The overview of Shakhas being held by Sangh across the country will also be taken during the meet and the Prant Pracharks will be given directives of increasing the number of Shakahas in their respective States and UTs. The Sangh has decided to increase the number of Shakhas to over one lakh during the centenary celebrations, sources said.
An RSS leader said that Sangh is aiming to increase the number of Shakhas beyond one lakh this year. He said the lecture series of RSS chief will be based along the lines of the 2018 event titled future of Bharat: An RSS perspective. This will not be a typical lecture event where people will only listen, instead it will be an interactive platform where thousands of individuals from diverse fields will engage in direct conversation with RSS chief.
Sources said the participants will get an opportunity in asking him questions directly in the unique outreach on varied issues concerning nation.This programme will be live across digital and electronic platforms and will also be broadcast live on the official Facebook page of the Sangh.
Sources said as the centenary approaches the RSS has announced to reach every administrative block in every State and UT of the country, to ensure that its message of unity, selfreliance and cultural resurgence reaches the remotest corners of the country.
Moreover, RSS also plans to organise between 1500 and 1600 Hindu Samelans (conferences) across the country to serve as cultural anchors in each region bringing together Swayamsevaks, community leaders, saints, scholars, youth, women and artisans.
During the centenary celebrations which will begin with a grand function at RSS Headquarters Nagpur Maharashtra, on October 2 this year, the RSS chief Dr Bhagwat will be the chief guest, Besides functions will be held across the country at State and UT headquarters on the day to observe centenary celebrations.
In addition to it, the Sangh Swayamsevaks will also hold public reach out programme across the country and every Swayamsevak will visit every house hold in every part of India to apprise them about the public welfare programmes of the Sangh and make its reach and appeal wider, sources said,
During the three-day meet the, functioning of all Sangh offshoots will also be reviewed and their future programmes will be chalked out.
The role of Swayamsevaks in serving nation will also figure in the meeting, sources said, adding in recent Ahmedabad plane crash and Jagannath Puri, Odisha stampede, RSS volunteers within no time reached the spot for rescue operations and shifted dead bodies and provided relief to injured in Odisha stampede.
Sources said in natural calamities, RSS volunteers rush for service of people irrespective of their religion, region or caste.
