Sangam Theatre presents Hindi play ‘Kis Ka Haath’

A scene from Hindi play ‘Kis Ka Haath’ staged by Sangam Theatre Group at Jammu on Monday.

JAMMU, Apr 15:  Sangam Theatre Group, Reasi, presented a full length Hindi play, “Kis Ka Haath” at the auditorium of Luthra College of Education, here today.
The play was written by Satish Dey, directed by M Akram Khan and assisted by Dilshad Shazi. Prof Javed I Khatib, joint secretary, J&K Board of School Education Jammu was the Chief Guest while Sohail Kazmi, general secretary, Press Club Jammu, was the guest of honour.
Vijay Laxmi Sharma, principal, BEd College presided over the function whereas Rajiv Luthra, chairman and Sanjeev Luthra, director of Luthra Trust of Education, were the special guests.
The story revolves around the mystery of the murders taking place in a home one by one. Amrit Roy, who is a central character of play, is a business man and is fond of collecting mysterious things. He believes in magic powers. Ranjan is his son born to first wife while his daughter Madhurta, is born to second wife Shamli.
Madhurta had a love affair with Inspector Ravi. A thief by the name Durgan comes to Amrit Roy and inspite of Shamli’s opposition Amrit Roy purchases a hand believed to be of the black magician and the eyes of suspicion falls on Buddhu. Madhurta is also murdered in second act and detective Pintu is employed to solve the case but all in vain. Shamli asks Buddhu to throw away the hand, but he is caught red handed by Inspector Ravi. In the end Shamli shocks the audience by revealing the fact that she is behind the murders.
The artists who performed in the play includes-Kabir Kebbu as Amrit Roy, Sonia as Shamli, Divya Sawhney as Madhurta, Mohit Khajuria as Ranjan, Ashish Bhat as Durjan, Kannav Chopra as Inspector Ravi, Dilshad Shazi as Buddhu, Satish Bhat as Chettu, Sandeep Sharma as Pintu and Mahal Bali as Sepahi.
The Makeup was done by Dr Anam Khan, Music was Designed by Raja Amir Khan, Costumes by Pooja while Lights were handled by Manish Malhotra.
