JAMMU, Feb 2: Vasant Panchami Mahotsav 2025 was organized by Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha J&K at its office Geeta Bhawan, Parade Ground, Jammu, here today.
On this occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest while Dr Dilip Kumar, Director, IIMC Jammu, was the guest of honour. Prof Sindhu Kapoor was the special guest and Ramesh Sangral was also Saraswat guest.
Around Vasant Panchami, the remembrance day of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, founder of Arya Samaj, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sant Ravidas Ji Maharaj and Veer Haqiqat Rai is also observed.
On this occasion, Saraswati Vandana was presented by the students of Shri Sanatan Dharma Tarapuri Public School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and a dance based on Guru Vandana was presented by Kumari Krisha Gupta. After this, the guests were honoured.
Speaking on the occasion, President of Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Parshottam Dadhichi, described how Veer Haqiqat Rai sacrificed his life while protecting the Sanatan life values and his religion on the day of Vasant Panchami.
Shiv Kumar Sharma praised the Vasant Utsav program organized by Sanatan Dharam Sabha and congratulated the organizers stating that such public awareness programs should be organized regularly.
Ramesh Sangral described the life and teachings of Sant Ravidas Ji in detail on the occasion of Vasant Panchami and called upon the society to live life according to his teachings.
Prof Sindhu Kapoor described the importance of Vasant Panchami and threw light on the life of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati who established Arya Samaj and preached against social evils like child marriage, untouchability etc.
Dr Dilip Kumar, while describing the Vasant Panchami festival, informed how Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj defeated the foreign invaders and protected the Indian life values and provided security to the countrymen.
In this program, Executive President of the Sabha, Prabhat Singh; General Secretary Sanjay Gupta; Vice President Arun Gupta; Shakti Dutt Sharma, Treasurer; Anil Kumar Magotra, Join Secretary; Atmaram Sagar, & Subhash Kumar, Co-Treasurer; Ashok Mahajan, Publicity Secretary; Dilip Kumar, Office Secretary; Vijay Kumar Sharma, Ashutosh Sharma, Dr Sanjay Kaushal, Sanjay Kol and local Corporator Anil Masoom were specially present.
