SAMBA, Dec 23: Samba police has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station (PS) Vijaypur, arrested two accused persons and recovered stolen items from their possession.
Police said on December 20 a written complaint was lodged at P S Vijaypur by one person namely Pankaj Verma, son of Girdhari Lal of village Patti, tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba regarding theft of inverter-battery, speakers, sound bars and other items from his shop situated at Rahya Morh during the intervening night of 19/20 December.
Police said acting upon the complaint, a case FIR No. 143/2025 U/S 331(4)/305 BNS was registered at Police Station, Vijaypur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a police team of PS Vijaypur after relentless efforts, apprehended two suspects who upon sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the instant case. The arrested persons have been identified as Harpreet Singh @ Kaka, son of Darshan Singh of Sukarpura Dera Dor district Gurdaspur (Punjab) and Harpreet Singh son of Bachan Singh of village Ahmedabad tehsil Dhaliwal district, Gurdaspur (Punjab).
On the disclosure of the accused persons, stolen items were recovered from their possession. Further investigation of the case is going on.
