SAMBA, Mar 20: Samba police has seized a large quantity of illegally cut and stolen Khair wooden logs in the Beli Goran area, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba.
Police said acting on specific information from reliable sources received at Police Post (PP) Goran of PS Samba that some persons namely Swarn Singh son of Baldev Singh, Joginder Singh, son of Rashpal Singh, Davinder Singh @ Tiku, son of Balwan Singh and others all residents of village Beli tehsil and district Samba had illegally cut and stolen large quantity of Khair wooden logs (mochajaat) and dumped them near Government Primary School Beli. The police team reached the spot and seized the Khair wooden logs, police said.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 68/2026 U/S 303(2) BNS, 26 Indian Forest Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
