SAMBA, Sept 27: Continuing its crackdown against illegal mining in the district, Samba police has seized eleven vehicles including seven dumpers across the district which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO PS BariBrahmana, SHO PS Vijaypur, SHO PS Ramgarh, Incharges Police Posts Supwal & Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized seven dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21J-3847, JK21G-6940, JK21G-7799, JK21J- 0059, JK21G-6049, JK21J-7881, JK02AT-6287, three tractor trolleys bearing Registration Numbers JK02H-2079, JK02Q-6998, JK21J-7699 and a tractor trolley without Number which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
