SAMBA, Oct 29: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized six vehicles including three dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba, Bari Brahmana and Purmandal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO, PS, Purmandal, SHO, PS, Bari Brahmana, in charges of Police Posts (PP) Goran, Rakh Amb Talli and Mansar of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized three dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21G-6049, JK21-9073, JK14G-0133, a tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK21H-2695 and two tractor trolleys without Registration Number which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
The above-mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.<
The seizure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
