SAMBA, July 28,: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, police has seized six vehicles including five dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba, Ghagwal and Bari Brahmana which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Bari Brahmana, in charge of police posts Supwal & Mansar of PS Samba and in charge police post, Rajpura of PS Ghgawal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized five dumpers bearing registration numbers JK21G-9091,JK21G-7597, JK21E-2447, JK19A-3867, JK02BV-2458 and a tractor trolley without number which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
The drive was conducted under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Virinder Manhas.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
