SAMBA, May 5: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized six vehicles across the district Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams of Police Station (PS) Purmandal, Police Station (PS) Ramgarh, Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and Police Post (PP) Mansar of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized six vehicles including two dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK14F-0261& JK21F-1853 and four tractor trolleys without bearing Registration Numbers which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
The vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
