SAMBA, Nov 16: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized six vehicles including three dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Ghagwal, in charges Police Posts (PP) Supwal, Goran and Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized three dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21J-5799, JK20A-4415, JK02CW-6869, a tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK08H-5712 and two tractor trolleys without numbers which were being used for illegal transportation/ mining of the construction material in the area.
It said all the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
The seizure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
