SAMBA, Jan 18: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized six dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba, Ramgarh and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO, PS Samba, SHO PS, Ghagwal and SHO, PS Ramgarh while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized six dumpers bearing Registration Nos. JK21G-6585, JK02BV-2458, JK21B-3737, JK21G-9265, JK08P-5812, JK21G-0372 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
It said all the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
The seizure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
