SAMBA, Dec 12: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized six dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
A police spokesman said teams headed by SHO PS Ghagwal, in charges of Police Posts (PP) Supwal and Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba and in charge Police Post, Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized six dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK02CT-9433, JK21A-8872, JK02AT-6287, JK14D-9133, JK08F-1273, JK21G-7817 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
