SAMBA, May 3: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized five vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO Police Station (PS) Samba, in charge Police Post (PP) Supwal of PS Samba and in charge Police Post (PP), Rajpura while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized five vehicles including two dumpers bearing registration Numbers JK08L-2364 and JK08F-1273 and three tractor trolleys bearing Registration Numbers JK14F-2801, JK08M-9526 and JK21J-3081which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
The vehicles have been seized by Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
