SAMBA, June 4: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba police during last 24 hours seized four Tractor-Trolleys in two separate incidents in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Samba, which were being used for illegal transportation and mining of the construction material.
Acting on reliable information regarding illegal mining of construction material from Basantar river-bed near Stadium Samba, a police party of PS Samba rushed to the spot and seized two Tractor-Trolleys bearing Registration Number JK21E-2944 & Jk21A-3389 which were illegally loading sand from Basantar river-bed.
Later, a police team of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, seized two Tractor-Trolley one having Registration Number JK21G-5025 loaded with sand and another without Registration Number loaded with stones were seized for illegal transportation of construction material.
All the four vehicles seized by Samba police have been handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
