SAMBA, Sept 14: Continuing crackdown on illegal mining in the district Samba police under the overall supervision of SSP Samba has seized 14 vehicles including six dumpers across the district which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO PS Ghagwal, SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Vijaypur SHO PS, Bari Brahmana, in charge Police Post (PP), Rajpura of PS Ghagwal and in charge Police Posts (PP) Rakh Amb Talli and Supwal of PS Samba under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Samba, SDPO Vijaypur and SDPO, Bari Brahmana while performing patrolling duty in their respective jurisdictional areas, have seized six dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21D-9880, JK02CK-0835, JK21G-9922, JK21F-8044, JK21H-4799, JK21G-9799, five tractor trolleys bearing Registration Numbers JK08M-1180, JK08P-1078, JK21J-1557, JK21H-1733, JK21F-2443 and three tractor trolleys without numbers. which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
Police said all the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
