SAMBA, May 17: Continuing crackdown on illegal mining in district Samba, police has seized 14 vehicles including one excavator in the jurisdiction of Police Sub-Division, Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
In Police Sub-Division Samba, vigorous drive against illegal mining launched by police teams of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal, Police Station Samba, Police Post (PP) Mansar, Police Post (PP) Rakh Amb Talli, Police Post (PP), Supwal, Police Post (PP), Rajpura and Police Post (PP), Goran headed by SHOs/ respective in charges of Police Posts and have seized one JCB without Registration Number, 8 dumpers bearing Registration Numbers, JK14E-2393, JK08P-4242, JK21G-7597, JK21J-9170, JK21D-2056, JK21G-5049, JK21G-6049, JK21G-8683 and five Tractor trolleys bearing registration Number, JK21G-9707 and rest four Tractor Trolleys without registration numbers for illegal mining in their respective areas.
These vehicles have been seized by police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
