Samba police seizes 12 more vehicles for illegal mining

SAMBA, July 13: In continuation to drive against illegal mining launched on the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, police has seized 12 more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.
Police team comprising of SHO Police Station, Samba Rajeshwar Singh, SHO Police Station, Vijaypur, Tribhawan Khajuria and in charge Police Post (PP) Goran Sajid Jaral under the supervision of DySP, Garu Ram Bhardwaj, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized 12 more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.
The seized vehicles included two JCBs without Registration Number, one Dumper bearing Registration Number, JKO8J-4326, one Tractor Trolley with Registration Nmber, JK08B-5628, eight Tractor Trolleys without Registration Number.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 98 vehicles have been seized in six months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. Police would continue checking the wrongdoings of mining mafia till illegal mining is completely stopped in the district.
