SAMBA, Nov 4: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized eleven vehicles including four dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PSs) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO, PS Samba, SHO, PS Ghagwal, in charges of Police Posts (PP) Supwal, Rakh Amb Talli, Goran and Mansar of PS Samba and in charge Police Post (PP) Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized four dumpers bearing Registration Number JK21G-7817, JK02BF-1931, JK08F-1273, JK19-6026, two tractors trolleys bearing Registration Numbers JK21D-3815, JK21J-0863 and five tractor trolleys without Registration Number which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
It said all the vehicles have been seized by the Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
The seizure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
