SAMBA, Aug 2: Continuing crackdown on illegal mining, Samba police has seized ten vehicles including nine dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PSs) Samba, Ghagwal and Vijaypur which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO Vijaypur, Ghagwal, in charge Police Posts (PPs) Supwal and Rakh AmbTalli of PS Samba and in charge Police Post, Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized nine dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK02CT-9321, JK21F-7667, JK21D-9880, JK02CR-2556, JK02CJ-5591, JK21G-7817, JK21G-6049, JK21J-3462, JK08P-0063 and a tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK21G-1022 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action, police said.
