SAMBA, July 10: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police seized five vehicles including two dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Ghagwal and Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Ghagwal and Incharge Police Post (PP) Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized two dumpers bearing registration numbers, JK21H-8683, JK08L-2364 and three tractor trolleys without registration numbers which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
