SAMBA, July 26: Samba police has recovered narcotics consignment from across the border at village Chillyari tehsil Rajpura district Samba late last night.
Police said that the consignment was dropped by a drone from across the border. The consignment was wrapped in yellow tape and was lying in open field at village Chillyari along the International Border.
Police said the recovered consignment was heroin weighing about 498 grams and was seized by the police team. A search operation was immediately launched in the area after the recovery of drone dropped narcotics consignment.
Police said a case FIR No. 77/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act, 13 UAPA Act has been registered at Police Station (PS) Ghagwal and investigation started.
