JAMMU, Feb 14: With an aim to strengthen Police–Public relations and to create awareness among the masses particularly among student community, District Police Samba today organized a Painting Competition on Drug Abuse at Kehli Mandi Ground, Samba under Civic Action Programme (CAP) in which 26 students from different educational institutions participated.
In the Painting Competition, participants presented their talent by drawing different paintings on the topic “Drug Abuse”. Joginder Singh, SSP Samba was the chief guest on the occasion, who awarded cash prizes and trophies to the first three winners. Dinesh Kundal of Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Samba secured 1st position whereas Divya Choudhary and Prakriti Sambyal of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Samba secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Other participants were also presented certificate of participation..
Feisel Qureshi, Addl. Superintendent of Police Samba, Chief Education Officer Samba, Vijay Pal Singh, Dy. Superintendent of Police Samba, Neeraj Kumar, Dy.SP Operations Samba, Principals of different Educational Institutions and Inspector Ravinder Parihar, SHO P/S Samba were also present during the occasion.
