SAMBA, Aug, 8: Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), Samba police today in a joint drive with district civil administration booked 188 persons across the district and imposed a fine amounting of Rs 94,000 on them.
In order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that the people of district Samba follow COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), the various joint teams of Samba police and district civil administration booked 188 persons for not wearing face masks, not following social distancing norms and for spitting in public places.
Samba police has renewed its appeal to people to always wear face mask when steeping out of home, avoid unnecessary travel, strict to permitted limit of social gathering and remember to follow COVID Appropriate Behavior as these are the key preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. People have also been advised to maintain social distancing and personal hygiene.
