JAMMU, Apr 8: Samba police has arrested a thief attempting ATM robbery. Police said that on 30.03.2019 a written complaint was lodged at P/S Samba by one person namely Bikrant Choudhary, S/O Puran Chand, R/O Badyal Brahmana (employee of PNB) stating therein that some miscreants tried to rob the PNB ATM located at Mandi Kotli, Samba.
The arrested person has been identified as Sohan Lal, S/O Suram Chand, R/O Dhanta, Ramnagar district Udhampur. Police said a case under FIR Number 71/2019 U/S 457/380/511 RPC was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. Acting swiftly into the matter a police team rounded up several suspects and finally succeeded in apprehending the accused person who made an unsuccessful bid to loot the PNB ATM located at Mandi Kotli Samba.
