Samba police arrests drug peddler with 24.40 grams of heroin

SAMBA, May 5: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Samba police has arrested a drug smuggler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana and recovered 24.40 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from his possession.
A police party headed by SHO Police Station, Bari Brahmana under under the supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Viriender Manhas intercepted a car near BBIA Club having Registration Number, PB35U-7185 which was coming from Balole Khad and moving towards Bari Brahmana. During checking, 24.40 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the person driving the car.
The drug smuggler identified as Imran Hussain, son of Mohammad Afzal of Dhanore Jarallan tehsil and district Rajouri has been arrested and contraband item along with vehicle have also been seized.
A case FIR No. 69/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
