SAMBA, Mar 29: Samba police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and recovered approximately 13.39 grams of heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
A team of Police Post (PP), Supwal during vehicle checking naka at NHW Supwal, intercepted a pedestrian under suspicious circumstances who was coming from Samba side and moving towards Vijaypur. During frisking, approximately 13.39 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession, police said.
The drug peddler identified as Aaryaman Mahajan, son of Ajay Gupta of Swarn Vihar, Police Colony Ward No 64, Muthi district Jammu has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized, police said.
A case FIR No. 71/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
