SAMBA, Aug 31: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana and recovered approximately one kg Ganja like substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana while performing naka duty near Railway Station, Bari Brahmana, intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances and during frisking recovered approximately 1 kg Ganja like substance from his possession.
The drug peddler identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Mangal Singh of Pipar Panti Koila Khaagaria (Bihar) has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized. A case FIR No 123/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Virinder Manhas.
